The Brockport Lions Club presented checks in support of two local organizations on October 21.
The club donated $1,700 to the Brockport Orchestra Boosters. The funds were the proceeds, including the cost of the food items, from the October 11 pancake breakfast the two organizations held jointly. Pictured are Booster members, parents, and Brockport Lions presenting the check.
Brockport Lions also donated $4,000 to the Brockport Area Vets Club. The funds came from the golf outing held on October 3, and the prizes/tickets purchased at the Vets Club after the golf event. Pictured are members of the Vets Club and Lions, Dave Miller, Jack Tangen, Lion President Kevin Smith, and Lion Treasurer Charlie Deacon.
This is the largest donation from the golf outing ever, and some of the funds will be dedicated to the new electronic sign planned for the Vets Club on West Avenue. Many more donations, pledges, and grants are needed to fund the new sign. For more information about the sign, contact Jack Tangen at 585-880-3235.
