The Greece Public Library invites the community to Share & Care to help bring warmth and comfort to others during the winter months.
Blanket Squares
The library is partnering with ROC Made with Love for its Fall Share & Care Blanket Squares Project, which runs through December 31. To participate, knit or crochet 9″ × 9″ blanket squares in any color, style, or pattern. The squares must be made with machine-washable yarn. Drop off completed squares at the Main Information Desk.
Watch for Blanket Bee programs this winter, where volunteers will come together to assemble the squares into cozy blankets to be donated to local organizations to for distribution to community members.
Winterwear
The library is collecting new hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves for children and adults to help its neighbors stay warm during the winter months. Donations may be handmade or store-bought, but all items must be new. Please drop off donations at the Main Information Desk through December 1. All donated items will be distributed throughout the community in partnership with local organizations.
