Lakeview Community Church, 30 Long Pond Road, supports the Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf every month – but August is special. In August, the church took on a challenge to collect 2,000 boxes or pouches of rice and pasta mixes.
Not only did they meet that goal, but with support from church members, family members, friends, co-workers, and neighbors, they collected 2,306 boxes or pouches of rice and pasta mixes.
Volunteers loaded the 810 pounds of donated items into a truck for delivery to the Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf.
