“The Foreigner” begins theater season

Theatre - The Foreigner - Pre-Prod Pic - WEBIn Larry Shue’s “The Foreigner,” Charlie is a shy British subject who finds himself at a fishing lodge in rural Georgia. Introduced by his friend as someone who neither understands nor speaks English, Charlie charms the locals, who end up confiding in him, thus propelling the comic hijinks that ensue.

The play, produced by the Department of Theatre and Music Studies at The College at Brockport, will be performed Friday, October 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Tower Fine Arts Center Mainstage, 180 Holley Street, on the Brockport Campus. Tickets cost $16 for general admission, $11 for seniors, alumni, faculty and staff, and $8.50 for students. Performances also take place on October 9, 10, 22, 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. A matinee will also take place Sunday, October 11 at 2 p.m., ASL interpreted.
