Hill School garden helps community
Student volunteers harvested the produce from the Hill School raised bed gardens weekly this summer and delivered the bounty to the Brockport Ecumenical Food Shelf.
The five 4 x 12 foot raised bed gardens planted by students in Veggie Nation yielded a bumper crop of beans, squash, tomatoes, radishes, Swiss chard, hot peppers, eggplant, peas, garlic, onions, collard greens and kale.
Shown with Enrichment Specialist Buck Noble are volunteers Joseph LoMonaco, Molly Smock, Hayley Smock and Calvin Moyer.
