Results for 2013 contested races in Monroe County

In county-wide races in Monroe County Christopher Ciaccio was elected County Court Judge, defeating Paul Irving, 62,357 votes to 58,916 votes.  Jim Walsh and Dandrea Ruhlmann were elected Family Court Judges with 61,137 and 61,933 votes, respectively.  They defeated Juan Nevarez who received 53,594 votes and Nathan Van Loon who received 49,071 votes.  Patrick O’Flynn was re-elected Monroe County  Sheriff over challenger Emily Clare Good. O’Flynn received 95,292 votes to Good’s 12,952 votes.

In the Town of Clarkson, incumbent Allyn S. Hammel was re-elected Town Justice over challenger Robert S. Rejewski, Sr., 648 votes to 410 votes.

In the highly contested race for Hamlin Supervisor, Eric Peters won over incumbent Thomas Breslawski 1,012 votes to 957 votes.  In the Hamlin Town Council race, incumbents Craig Goodrich and Jason Baxter received 1,264 votes and 1,315 votes, respectively, and will return to the board.  Challenger Roberta Fey received 847 votes.

In the Town of Parma, James Smith was elected supervisor with 1,701 votes over Common Sense Party candidate Edward Arnold, who received 1,032 votes. Incumbents Tina Brown and Jim Roose were re-elected to their seats on the Town Council.  Brown received 1,691 votes and Roose received 1,619 votes.  They were challenged by Common Sense Party candidates Mark Bernreuther and Stanley Hoy who received 1,067 and 1,023 votes, respectively.

There were several races in the Town of Riga.  Town Clerk Kimberly Pape was re-elected, defeating challenger Elizabeth Hannah 820 votes to 721 votes.  In the race for two seats on the Town Council, incumbents Deborah Campanella and James Fodge were re-elected.  Campanella received 1,043 votes and Fodge 1,081.  Challenger Mark Majewski received 603 votes. Former Council Member David Smith was elected Superintendent of Highways.  He received 965 votes to 566 votes for Christopher McDonald.

Results for 2013 contested races in Orleans County
In Orleans County, there were several races for County Legislature.  For the At-Large Center seat, Donald Allport defeated Gary Kent by a vote of 3,419 to 2,917.  For the At-Large West seat, E. John DeFilipps defeated Jonathan “Jack” Gillman by a vote of 3,367 to 2,573.  At-Large East legislator David Callard was unopposed and received 4,408 votes.  In the First District race (Town of Clarendon), William Eick defeated Emil Smith, 833 votes to 518 and in the Fourth District (Towns of Murray and Kendall) Kenneth DeRoller defeated David C. Schult Sr., 1,142 votes to 683.
In the race for Kendall Town Justice, Debra Drennan defeated Stephen Cliff 436 votes to 171 votes.
