•Delahanty, Richard E., On March 10, 2013 and leaves his wife Mary Ann, and two sons, Mark and Richard (Vernice) Delahanty. He also leaves behind his three sisters, Lucille, Ethelyn (Jack) and Muriel (Reese); granddaughters, Shauna, Kenia and Shelly; grandsons Alex and Brian; several great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Richard worked for Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, New York for 38 years. He was a past Exalted Ruler of the Elks in Brockport.
A Funeral Service was held March 15 in Mesa, Arizona.
BROCKPORT
•Acker, Marion D., On March 17, 2013 at age 82. Predeceased by her husband, Bernard. She is survived by her sons Stephen (Kathryn), Martin (Araceli), Christopher (Kimberly); her daughter, Elaine Acker; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Marion was a very active member of the Mother’s Club at Nativity BVM School for many years.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 11 a.m. in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Canal Road, Brockport. Donations can be made to the Aurora House, 2495 South Union Street, Spencerport, NY 14559 in her memory.
•Mathews, Myrtle M., March 19, 2013, age 96. Born March 18, 1917, she was the daughter of James and Nellie Martin. Most of her life was lived in Brockport. She worked many years at the Bruce Insurance Agency. She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Clair Mathews. Surviving are her sons James (Jancy), Thomas (Linda); grandchildren David Mathews (Ozden), Diana Adlowitz (Jason), Christopher Mathews, Becky Mathews; great-grandchildren Bailey Adlowitz, Audrey Mathews and John Mathews.
A Memorial Service will be held this coming summer. Contributions can be made to the Morgan-Manning House, 151 Main Street, Brockport 14420 or the United Way in her memory.
•New, Eugene R., of Ocala, Florida, born March 27, 1923, died March 7, 2013 at the Legacy House Hospice in Ocala, Florida after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Vivian Bronson New; and his children, Beverly Piazza of Ocala, Bradley (Jayne) New, Valerie (Jerome) Adduci both of Brockport, Christine (Randall) Stacey of Appleton and Roberta DeNicola of Ocala; also seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Formerly of Brockport. Gene was an avid golfer, enjoyed gardening and reading and was a retiree of Kodak and Otis Elevator.

•Caverly, Mary Lois, March 17, 2013 at age 99. Predeceased by her husband, James J. Caverly and grandson, James C. Di Franco. She is survived by her children, Joan (Philip) Welch, Mary Louise (George) Schmidt, Kathleen (Timothy) Di Franco, Norma (Norm) Krause, Eileen (Michael) Wilson, James (Kathleen) Caverly; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.

•Doane, Frances J., March 15, 2013, age 94. Predeceased by her husband, Earl and brother, Charles Dudley. Survived by her children, Mary Anne Doane and James Doane; brothers, Harold (Eleanor) Dudley and James (Janice) Dudley; sister, Alice Swick; several nieces and nephews. Frances is one of the founding members of St. Pius the Tenth Church. After graduation from Wayland High School, she was a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital for many years.
