•Treadway, Vera (Thompson), died November 10, 2013, at age 76, after a brave battle with cancer. She was a high school educator in West Virginia, New Mexico and Rochester, where she was employed as a guidance counselor at Gates Chili High School from 1964 to 1992. She also served as a teachers’ union representative. Vera is survived by her husband, Clinton Treadway; her daughters, Kristi Treadway and Denise Treadway Vorbach; her sons, Dwayne Treadway and Darren Treadway; four grandchildren, Morgan Kayser, Kyle Vorbach, Dylan Treadway, and Maya Treadway.
Her Memorial Service was held November 16 at Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home, Greece. Contributions can be made to the Rochester Alternatives for Battered Women in her memory.
