Life Solutions of Hamlin providing Easter meals and quarantine supplies to community
Life Solutions of Hamlin provides food and necessities and holiday meal boxes to those in need within the community. They serve Hamlin, Clarkson, and parts of Kendall, Hilton, and Brockport. According to Food Pantry Manager Brenda Pangrazio, there has been a slight increase in need since the COVID-19 pandemic. “For Easter, we provided meals to 90 families in our community,” said Pangrazio. On April 2 and 3, Life Solutions volunteers and members of the local Lions Club packed meal boxes. Each box included vegetables, fruit, nuts, potatoes, ham, turkey/chicken, bread, dessert, and chocolate Easter bunnies for the children.
Families picked up most of the meals on Saturday, April 4. Due to the social distancing policies, specific times were scheduled for families to get their Easter meals. Special arrangements were made to provide delivery to those who were unable to pick up their food, or who were in quarantine. Special quarantine supplies were also delivered, if needed.
Life Solutions is supported by donations from the community, businesses, the Salvation Army, and is partnered with Food Link as an “enabled agency.” During this challenging time of the pandemic, Pangrazio said that Life Solutions is not able to accept any community donations of food or necessities, and are restricted to receiving monetary donations only.
