The d3wrestle.com Wrestler of the Week is Paul Glover of Brockport.
Glover won the 197 lb. title at the New Standard Invitational at York College the weekend of December 7. The 2nd seeded Glover capped a 4-0 weekend with a 7-5 win over top seeded and #2 ranked Aaron Karns of Delaware Valley. Karns finished in 6th place at last year’s NCAA Championships. Glover’s weekend ran his season record to 11-2, according to the website.
Glover, a senior, began the year at the always tough Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Invitational where he finished 2-2. Since then, he has gone undefeated, with the recent win and also winning the Eastern Michigan Open, picking up three wins against Division I competition.
Brockport is off for the holidays but returns to action to host the Brockport Invitational on January 11.
