Lt. Col. James P. Dollard retiring from USMC after 28 years of service
Lieutenant Colonel James P. Dollard, Commanding Officer of 3d Law Enforcement Battalion, Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, is retiring from the United States Marine Corps after a distinguished military career of 28 years.
The son of Donna (Dollard) Kenyon and Steven Kenyon of Rockledge, Florida, James enlisted in the Marine Corps following graduation from Spencerport High School in 1992. SSgt Dollard was selected to attend the Officer Candidate School through the Meritorious Commissioning Program. Dollard was commissioned April 2001. Throughout the years, he has been stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Okinawa, Japan among other places. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Campbell University (2003) and a Masters of Business Administration from National University (2007).
Personal decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with a gold star, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with a gold star, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with a gold star, Good Conduct Service Medal with a bronze star, Combat Action Ribbon, and the Recruiting Ribbon.
He is married to the former Gisela Castro of Panama City, Panama, and they have two children, Geraldy (27) and Kevin Dollard (22), and two grandsons, Luke (5) and Logan (1).
