Spencerport Junior Fire Academy was held the week of July 12 as part of WEMOCO’s Summer @ The Center camp program for students entering seventh, eighth, or ninth grade. Members of the Spencerport Volunteer Fire Department led students in a week of training, team building, and fun as they learned about careers in emergency services. Campers participated in hands-on training from EMS to fighting fire and met professionals from all parts of the fire service. The camp even included a visit from Mercy Flight.
