Developer Robert Fallone of Fallone Properties is constructing a new three-story building on the empty lot next to Grandpa Sam’s Restaurant on South Union Street in Spencerport. Once complete, the ground floor will be available for retail space with a total of 12 apartment units on the top two stories. Plans call for the building exterior to retain the classic appearance that Spencerport is known for.
Builders broke ground a few weeks ago, but according to Spencerport Mayor Gary Penders there has been a bit of a delay. “The builder needs to reinforce the south side of the basement wall of the building and they are also awaiting Monroe County Water Authority to install the water tie in before further construction can take place,” he said.
The building is scheduled for completion in 2022.
