BOCES 2 students in the New Vision Justice Profession had the opportunity to observe and participate in the Monroe County Sheriff’s SCUBA Unit training exercise at San Soucie Park in Brockport.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies, Brockport Fire Department and other area emergency responders used radar, robots, a boat and divers to search, locate and recover a vehicle they immersed in the canal.
“The students had the chance to observe the training exercise and the technology,” said Marc Ouzer, BOCES 2 New Visions teacher. “We are so thankful our local law enforcement allow our Justice Profession students to learn during these training exercises.”
New Visions is a statewide BOCES program for college bound high school seniors to explore professional career interests while accruing high school and college credits. Students intern in health care, justice professions, emerging professions and health care.
