The Town of Sweden has installed new security cameras at the Sweden Town Park on Redman Road, replacing cameras that were nearly 20 years old. The update was prompted by acts of vandalism at the park restrooms at the beginning of the baseball season. Vandalism is a rare occurrence at the town park and, in the past, the Town has been successful in identifying the vandals and securing restitution for the damage. The 156-acre park welcomes an average of several hundred participants per day and is overseen by a full and part-time parks and recreation staff.
