The Brockport Police Department is investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on West Avenue and Redman Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. on November 30. Shannon D. Wright, 51, of Clarkson, was pronounced dead at URMC Strong West shortly after the crash.
The initial investigation revealed that Mr. Wright was westbound on West Avenue and struck a vehicle that was stopped at the red traffic signal on West Avenue at Redman Road. The driver of the vehicle struck was treated at URMC Strong West and later released with minor injuries.
The accident is still under investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
