Greece Town Supervisor Bill Reilich asks that you join all of us in the Town of Greece as we count down the days to the April 2024 Solar Eclipse! We are excited to bring together our community as we marvel at this astronomical event of the decade. More information, including viewing locations and safety guidelines, will be available soon.
This rare celestial occurrence will take place on April 8, 2024. On this day, the moon will pass between the sun and earth, casting a shadow that will momentarily darken the daytime sky. In Rochester, the eclipse is expected to begin with the partial phase around 2:00pm and end around 5:00pm.

“As we anticipate the celestial spectacle of the April 2024 solar eclipse, we encourage Greece residents to join together in witnessing this rare and extraordinary opportunity,” said Supervisor Reilich.
