For Manufacturers and other Companies Seeking “Essential Business” Designation
Governor Cuomo has issued Executive Order (E.O. No. 202.7) with details about the 75% in-person workforce reduction and other items, including the closure of personal care businesses such as hair salons. Essential businesses, including food processing operation, are exempt from the requirement. As of March 21, 2020, this is being increased to 100% in-person workforce reduction.

For Small Businesses with Economic Injury
The Small Business Administration has approved a statewide disaster declaration for New York. This enables eligible small businesses to apply for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela/.
Economic Injury Disaster Loans are available to businesses unable to meet their obligations and to pay their ordinary and necessary operating expenses. The program provides up to $2 million in necessary working capital during the period before normal operations resume.
