Gerard Jamgotchian is the new operator of Mangia Mangia, 2273 Union Street, Spencerport.

Chef Gerard is an award-winning pastry chef specializing in authentic European-style bakery delights, which he received his education for in Marseille, France. He also has 42 years of extensive culinary expertise, having worked in virtually every facet of the culinary arts, owning cafés and fine restaurants. Chef’s experience offers diners a unique opportunity to expand their dining experience, a perfect mix of “mangia mangia” meets “bon appetit.”

When asked where he got his passion for food, chef replied, “Growing up in Marseille, my grandmother would spend an entire day cooking everything from traditional Armenian farm to classical French cuisine. I loved her food and I had to learn how to cook it myself. While I was studying to become an optometrist, I knew in my heart that I couldn’t resist my love for cooking; I was going to become a chef.”
