CNB welcomes new Trust Officers

Canandaigua National Bank & Trust (CNB) has added Megan Foster Barkley, Esq. and Phillip W. Brown, J.D. as Trust Officers.

Before joining CNB as an Assistant Vice President – Trust Officer, Megan Foster Barkley, Esq. practiced law as a trusts and estates associate attorney at Harris Beach PLLC and at The Cicero Law Firm LLP. Barkley has experience assisting clients in navigating the complexities of estate planning to implement estate plans that best comport with their unique personal and financial objectives. At CNB Wealth Management, she is responsible for administering trusts and estates, as well as custody and investment management accounts.

Megan Foster Barkley

Barkley earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History and in Political Science at The Pennsylvania State University, and her Juris Doctor degree at Syracuse University College of Law. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Monroe County Bar Association, the Estate Planning Council of Rochester, and University of Rochester Planned Giving Advisory Council. Barkley resides in Victor with her husband and son.  

Phillip W. Brown

Phillip W. Brown, J.D has also joined CNB as an Assistant Vice President – Trust Officer.  Brown previously served as Trust Senior Associate and Officer at Bank of America Private Bank and has five years of experience with financial services. As a new member of the CNB Wealth Management team, Brown’s responsibilities include the administration of trusts and custody and investment management accounts.

Brown received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from SUNY Geneseo and his Juris Doctor degree from Roger Williams University School of Law.  He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Rochester and the National Ski Patrol. Brown resides in Canandaigua.
