The Brockport Lions Club held its Annual Family Chicken Barbecue August 21 at the Vets Club with 32 Lions and their families attending. One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of awards for service. Lion Cheryl Warner received the Robert J. Uplinger Award and Lion Charlie Deacon the Melvin Jones Award. The awards honor outstanding Lions and non-Lions or organizations who perform exemplary service to a Club, district, or community.
