Walk to end Alzheimer’s raises more than $24,000 in Brockport
More than 200 people participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Brockport on Saturday, October 19.
The Walk raised more than $24,000 toward the goal of $30,000, and donations will continue to be accepted through the end of November. “We are especially grateful to the Community Development Department at The College at Brockport for their support and enthusiasm,” said David Midland, president and CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association, Rochester & Finger Lakes Region Chapter. “We look forward to growing this relationship with The College and the community to achieve our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.”
Top individual fundraisers included Robert Johnson of Team Debbie, Paul DiPasquale of Remembering Eleanor and Tom Lacy of Team Lacy. Top Family and Friends teams included Dee’s Driven, Team Lacy and Remembering Eleanor. Top corporate teams at the event included the Home Instead Tulips, Wedgewood Walkers and Emeritus at the Landing of Brockport Journey Walkers.
