Holley hosts Festival of Lights day-long events
The Village of Holley will open the holiday season on December 7, with The Festival of Lights.
The festival starts at 9 a.m. with vendors in the foyers of downtown businesses and at the Holley Fire Department. Maps of where the vendors are located will be available at the Village Office, 72 Village.
A free Breakfast with Santa will begin at 10 a.m. at the Community Center.
The Holley Elementary Band and Chorus will be performing at First Niagara Bank from 12 to 1 p.m.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be greeting children from 1 to 5 p.m. at Santa’s Workshop located in the Village Square.
The Movie “Polar Express” will be showing at 2 p.m. at the Community Library.
There will be Caroling in the square provided by the Old Path Baptist Church and the Holley High School Chorus from 1 to 5 p.m.
Refreshment will be available all day, provided by the Old Path Baptist Church, The Clarendon Lions Club, Dustin’s, Jonathan’s and Sam’s Diner.
At 6 p.m. the Annual Lighting of the Memory Bulb Tree will take place with the reading of names of those being remembered. Bulbs may be purchased at the Village Office until Friday, December 6. Bulbs are $5 (adult) and $1 (child).
The festival will end with the “Parade of Lights” at 6:30 p.m. The parade will start at the Holley Elementary School and proceed to Wright Street and through the Public Square to Thomas Street.
