The 12th Annual Celebrate Agriculture Dinner is set for Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the Alexander Fire Hall, Route 98 in Alexander. This event is a celebration of the number one industry in Genesee County – agriculture. The dinner is open to the public. Locally produced vegetables and meat are prepared into the meal by Penna’s Catering.
Tickets go on sale December 2 at the Genesee County Chamber of Commerce at 210 East Main Street in Batavia. Tickets are $25 each or $230 for a table of ten. Only 400 tickets will be sold. Last year, the event sold out in January. Sponsorships are also available which help support agriculture educational events in Genesee County.
The Celebrate Agriculture Dinner is coordinated by the following partners: Cornell Cooperative Extension of Genesee County, Genesee County Chamber of Commerce, Genesee County Soil & Water Conservation District and Genesee County Farm Bureau. Many local farms and businesses sponsor the event.
