On Tuesday, October 29, Boy Scouts from Troop 90 celebrated their fall Court of Awards honoring seven scouts who advanced in rank and all scouts who earned Merit Badges at summer camp.

At the ceremony, Aaron Valone joined the troop at the Rank of Scout, Alexander Glase, John Tracy, Marcos Porterfield, Alexander Rivard and Thomas Walter advanced to Tenderfoot and Jason Li advanced to Scout 2nd Class. Kyle Podlaski and Ben Lyon earned the Polar Bear Award which includes an early morning dip in the lake at 6:30 a.m. at camp. Several other scouts earned a total of 65 Merit Badges between April and October.

“We are very proud of the efforts of all of the scouts of Troop 90 and are pleased with the initiative put forth by our 30 scouts and leaders who attended summer camp and worked toward the completion of so many Merit Badges that are important to the scout’s advancement,” said Keith Wimer, Scout Master.

To support their activities and community service efforts, Troop 90 held their annual Holiday Wreath sale at the First Baptist Church of Chili and their winter Bottle Drive will be held Saturday, January 4.
