Puppies get checked out
Twelve Goldendoodles line up for a mug shot at the Country Veterinarian in Spencerport on May 16 before their six-week medical exam.
Ogden residents and owners Tammy and Rick Maier brought them to the vet’s office in three tubs and the pups readily lined up – but one or two of the black ones kept laying down.
The group consists of six males and six females and they are equally divided into three golden and three black. They are all 75% Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever; technically they are classified F1b. The sire is a poodle from Arkport, NY and the mother, Wellesley, is 50% Poodle and 50% Golden Retriever.
Wellesley delivered 13 Goldendoodles in her first litter a couple years ago and she is now, according to Tammy: “Officially retired!” Eight puppies have already been sold.
