Trinity Lutheran Church welcomes new pastor
Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencerport welcomed Reverend Matthew W. Canaday of Springfield, Missouri as the new pastor. Pastor Matthew Canaday was installed on Sunday, July 13. Reverend Chris C. Wicher, the LCMS Eastern District President, presided over the installation service with the assistance of Reverend Clayton Zuber, the “Circuit Visitor” of the Eastern District and pastor of Epiphany Lutheran Church, in Avon. Pastor Matt and his wife, Bethany, were welcomed by district clergy and members of the congregation at a reception following the service.
Pastor Matt previously served River of Life Lutheran Church in Springfield, Missouri, where he was the pastor for five years.
“The Mission of Trinity is to joyfully share the Gospel through Christ-centered worship, teaching and reaching out to the community by acts of caring,” he said.
