Boy Scout Troop 90 celebrates Court of Awards and Court of Honor

Tyler Auble of Boy Scout Troop 90 has earned the highest rank of Boy Scouts, Eagle Scout.

Tyler earned his Eagle Scout award by working around the area surrounding St. Pius X rectory and school parking lot. He cleared away trees and bushes that made it easier for parishoners and school staff to park. He also cleared away shrubs and overgrown grass and branches to provide a clear area for church function parking.

Tyler earned a total of 24 Merit Badges from 2011-2013 as part of his requirement to become an Eagle Scout. Badges earned included Citizenship in the Community, Nation and World, Environmental Science, Geology, Indian Lore and Wood Carving. A minimum of 21 Merit Badges are required for any Eagle Scout.

Tyler was joined by his mother, Tina Auble, at the ceremony held at the First Baptist Church of Chili, at 3182 Chili Avenue, which was followed by a celebratory reception.

“We are so proud of our troop and the leadership they provide through eagle scout projects that help our local religious institutions, schools and community,” said Keith Wimer, Scout Master. “We look to advance as many scouts as we can to the rank of Eagle and are always pleased with the creativity, thought  and effort that go into the projects especially since fewer than five percent of Boy Scouts nationwide attain this illustrious rank.”
