Journey of Hope Christian Cancer Support Group invites public for therapy of the soul

When a person suffers an injury, becomes ill, or requires surgery, there arises a potential need for physical therapy. This particular type of therapy provides healing, strengthening, restoration, and ability to those physical areas affected.

However, when one must face the reality of cancer, an additional therapy becomes necessary – spiritual therapy. Partnering with Esther Gillie (Director of Library Services at RWC; D.Min. student at NES; and cancer survivor), the Journey of Hope Cancer Support Group explores scriptural and formative ways to provide therapy for the soul.

The Journey of Hope Christian Cancer Support Group will meet on Wednesday, September 23, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Friendship Center at Pearce Church. Journey of Hope provides support for anyone who has been touched by cancer – including cancer patients, their friends and family members. This meeting intends to offer strength, encouragement and guidance through faith in Christ.

Pearce Church is located one block east of routes 259 and 33 in North Chili. For information, call Pastor Jeremy Kelly of Community Care at Pearce Church, at 594-9488.
