Amenda Quartet to visit SUNY Brockport for performance and discussion
The Amenda Quartet will play a sampler of movements from Beethoven’s early, middle, and late periods as part of their appearance as lecture/demonstration guests for The College at Brockport’s World Music course (MUS210). Their visit will take place on Monday, October 12 at 6:30 p.m. in Room 120 in Tower Fine Arts Center, 180 Holley Street. The mini-concert is free and open to the public.
The quartet is comprised of David Brickman, violin; Patricia Sunwoo, violin; Melissa Matson, viola; and Mimi Hwang, cello. The one-hour program will include discussion and performances of Op. 18 No. 6 (Movements 1 and 3); Op. 95 (Movement 3); Op. 132 (Movements 3 and 4)
The Quartet is named after Karl Friedrich Amenda (1771-1836).
