Mostly Watercolor paintings on display at the Parma Public Library
Award winning artist Lauretta Kirk has brought her Mostly Watercolor paintings to the Parma Public Library where they will remain on display through December 2015.
Several of her pieces include “Plain air” artwork which is accomplished by working on location and taking on the challenge to produce a finished painting before the light changes.
Lauretta’s introduction to the art world goes back to her childhood when her father worked as a professional portrait photographer. She also owned and operated the Village Gallery in Hilton for fifteen years and says of that time, “My favorite aspect of the shop was to get to meet and show the work of so many talented artists.”
Lauretta is a member of the Suburban Rochester Art Group and has exhibited widely in area art shows.
This show is the fifty-third in a series of exhibits hosted by the Parma Public Library which feature area artists. For more information or to inquire about a show, call Rosalind Lipomi, Adult Services Librarian, at the Parma Public Library at 392-8350 or visit at www.libraryweb.org/parma.
