Wildlife rehab expert speaks at the CHS
On Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m., the Clarkson Historical Society will present a talk by Gary Zimmerman of the Black Creek Wildlife Station. Founded with his wife in Churchville in 2005, the station cares for and treats sick, injured and orphaned wildlife until they can be released back into their natural habitat.
With loss of natural habitat together with larger predators, many young or injured animals are left to survive on their own. At the Wild Life Station, with the help of a veterinarian and other assistants, they carefully nurse the animals back to health.
Mr. Zimmerman will bring two owls with him and will welcome any questions at the presentation. Children and adults alike will enjoy learning more about the wild life in the area. All are welcome to this free event at the Clarkson Academy, located at 8343 Ridge Road in Clarkson. For more information, go to www.bcwildlifestation.com.
