Monthly art programs go on display at the Parma Public Library
The Parma Public Library will present Art 2016, a show of work created by the participants in the library’s two adult art programs: “A Passion for Paint” and “1st Friday Art.” Both programs are made possible through the generosity of the library’s Friends.
“A Passion for Paint” has grown into two sessions on the third Friday of each month. The first runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the second from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Any adults interested in painting may sign-up in person or by calling the library at 392-8350. No experience is needed and supplies are furnished.
The “1st Friday Art” program introduces participants to the work of a famous artist while they create their own work of art. The session takes place at 2 p.m. on the first Friday of each month. No registration required.
The library has also added a new monthly program entitled “Finish It!” Bring in an in-progress art or craft project and needed supplies to the library on the fourth Thursday of the month and finish it while enjoying and learning from like-minded creative types. Coloring pages are also available.
Art 2016 will be on display through the month of March. For more information or to inquire about a show of personal work, call Rosalind Lipomi, Adult Services Librarian, at the library at 392-8350 or visit www.parmapubliclibrary.org.
