Pancake breakfast to support summer mission trip
Ogden Presbyterian Church, 2400 South Union Street, Spencerport will serve a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, April 1 from 8 to 11 a.m. “All you can eat” pancakes cost $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 5 through 10.
This fundraiser will support the mission team from Spencerport United Methodist Church and Ogden Presbyterian Church who will travel for a week of service this summer with The Pittsburgh Project (www.pittsburghproject.org). Days will be spent working for the city’s elderly, poor, shut-in, widowed and disabled, addressing home repair needs. Projects include painting, drywalling, carpentry and yardwork. After each day’s work is complete, the group will gather with about 200 others at The Project’s home base for reflection, teaching and worship.
Designed with the hope of transforming hearts and minds, service camp challenges participants to take on a worldview that is supported by Christlike service and instruction from the Bible.
