GCVM History on Tap: A historic happy hour
Enjoy a historic happy hour with History on Tap, a singular get-together Friday, May 26, at Genesee Country Village & Museum.
From 5 to 9 p.m., visitors can stroll the historic village, sampling a variety of alcoholic beverages created by local brewers, vintners and cideries, and listening to the live music of The Crooked North, an all-acoustic Americana band featuring some of the top bluegrass players in the area.
The museum will introduce its own Flint & Steel Bourbon Barrel Hard Cider, produced in a 19th-century style using just honey and pressed apple juice.
More than a dozen historic buildings, most with interpreters in costume, will open for visiting. Party food will be available for purchase along with a cash bar throughout the evening.
Admission cost $20 online (www.gcv.org) or $25 at the door and is limited to those 21 and over.
