Seven local children’s authors sign books to support Seymour Library
The Seymour Library is hosting a fundraiser to support local literacy by bringing seven local children’s authors to the library. The event will include book signings, gift basket raffles and crafts for children.
Each of the authors will be in attendance with their new releases: Wendy Dunham with “A Windy Spring Day” and “Sunflower Summer” from “The Tales of Buttercup Grove,” a fictitious early reader series for ages 4 to 8; Joy Keller with “Monster Trucks,” a fiction picture book for ages 4 to 8; Andrea Page with “Sioux Code Talkers of World War II,” a non-fiction book for ages 8 and up; Sally Valentine Steinmiller with “Martha the Hairpreneur,” a fictionalized story of Martha Matilda Harper; Vivian Vande Velde with “The Princess Imposter,” a fiction story for ages 8 and up; Susan Beckhorn Williams with “Wolf Boy,” a fiction story for ages 9 and up; and Jackie Boothby Yeager with “The Crimson Five: Spin the Gold Light Bulb,” a fiction story for ages 8 and up.
The fundraiser will take place at the Seymour Library in Brockport, 161 East Avenue, from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 7. For more information, visit seymourlibraryweb.org or call 637-1050.
