Enjoy Nature Sundays at Genesee Country Nature Center
As the days grow longer, there are more hours to get outside and enjoy the wonders of nature. Perfect timing for a visit to the Genesee Country Nature Center to experience Nature Sundays – independent hikes through well marked nature trails or guided, family nature-themed activities with experienced naturalists.
Beginning April 8, and continuing every Sunday through September 30, guests can enjoy programs such as Picnic by the Pond or The Salamander Squad – a fun group excursion in search of local salamanders. There are special programs each month such as The Secrets in the Stones starting on April 15.
Nature Sundays features a wide range of nature-themed activities that explore birds, bugs, flowers, geology and more. Participants can also enjoy Genesee Country Village & Museum Earth Camp games and other family-friendly activities.
These weekly educational and inspirational Nature Sunday programs run approximately 45 to 60 minutes and include nature hikes that are no more than a mile round-trip.
The nature center building and trails are open Sundays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Programs and trail access are only a suggested donation of $5.
