Brockport Lions hold fundraiser to help family with treatment and rehab expenses
Last fall, Zach Losee, a 15-year-old Brockport student, fell ill and needed a heart transplant as a result. The Brockport Lions Club held a pancake breakfast on February 10 to help the family with expenses associated with the treatment and rehab. On Wednesday, February 20, Zach and family were guests at the Lions Club’s dinner meeting and were presented with a check for $2,600. Shown above are Zach Losee (center) with his mother Julie, and Lions President Normand Fluet. The Lions served over 250 customers at the breakfast, including 13-WHAM’s Scott Hetsko (at right in bottom photo) who is a past heart transplant recipient and has been very supportive of Zach. Zach continues to make progress and is getting stronger every day.
