The fifth annual Churchville Luminaria Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31 at the Village gazebo. This event will take place immediately following the concert from 7 to 9 p.m. that features the popular Beatles tribute band 8 Days A Week.
The Luminaria ceremony is an emotional and moving ceremony where decorated luminaria bags honor cancer survivors and those lost to cancer are remembered. Luminaria bags may be purchased for $5 at the Churchville Village Office and will be decorated by members of the Churchville-Chili LEO Club as part of the Relay For Life. All proceeds are donated to the American Cancer Society.
The Churchville Lions Club grill team will also be cooking hot dogs and hamburgers starting at 6 p.m. to raise funds for the American Cancer Society Relay.
On Saturday, August 10, members of the Churchville Lions and LEO Clubs will be doing a car wash at the North Chili KwikFil from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise funds for their American Cancer Society Relay For Life Team.
