Trolley rides to operate during Monroe County Fair hours

trolleyElectric trolley rides will be operating at the New York Museum of Transportation during the Monroe County Fair on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 2, 3, and 4.

The museum’s rail line is right next door to the County Fair site, and Fair visitors are invited to take the short walk from the festivities for a ride on the only electric trolley operation in New York State. Ride fare is $2 per person. 

Trolley rides will operate during these hours: Friday noon to 7 p.m. (rides only, museum closed); Saturday 2 to 7 p.m.; Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

On Saturday and Sunday, the full museum will be open, featuring a steam locomotive, huge model railroad, numerous highway and horse drawn vehicles, and the Midtown Plaza Monorail exhibit. Riders wishing to also visit the museum will receive a credit deducting their $2 fare from the regular admission of $8 adults, $7 seniors age 65+, and $6 youths age three to 12. Admission is free for children under age three.
