Lakeview Community Church, 30 Long Pond Road (near Edgemere Drive), presented an August Challenge to collect 1,500 cans of peaches for the Greece Ecumenical Food Shelf. With the help of Boy Scout Troop 18, Cornerstone Point, Goldwell sales reps and employees, Grandview neighbors, Lakeview’s families and friends, ROMEO’s (Retired Old Men Eating Out) group, Union Scrap in Chili, and Unionville Station in Hilton, they collected 1,845 cans of peaches in August that weighed in at 2,020 pounds.
