CHS hosts presentation on Military Medicine in WWII

Clarkson Historical Society will host Wally Rust at their Wednesday, October 2 membership meeting. This presentation on Military Medicine in WWII will be at the Clarkson Academy, 8343 West Ridge Road, starting at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to the public; light refreshments will be served.

Rust was a Navy medic in WWII from 1944 to 1946. In this live narrated slide show he will discuss the people involved, the facilities on ships of various sizes, and the instruments and medicines that were available. Many actual artifacts of medical equipment will be on display and can be viewed after the talk.

Rust also spoke at the Clarkson Historical Society’s April meeting when the topic was the Manhattan Project.
