Seymour Library offers programs and services during COVID-19 shutdown

The Seymour Library in Brockport, though closed due to coronavirus, continues to offer programs and services for the community:

•Download ebooks, audiobooks, digital magazines, and videos.

•Use databases for homework, research, genealogy, and more.

•Attend virtual programs, some live-streamed: Baby and Pre-School Storytimes, Children’s and Teen Writing Groups, craft programs, STEAM Challenges, and more.  Upcoming Adult programs include virtual poetry readings and a presentation by a Holocaust survivor (postponed from March).

•Sign up for a new service, “Helping You Get Back from the Pandemic,” which pairs adult patrons with librarians to help patrons find and apply for jobs, craft resumes and cover letters, and prepare for interviews.

•Contact library staff through the library website and Facebook page to ask reference and other questions.

For more information about any of these programs and services, visit our redesigned website (which launched the week of April 20) at seymourlibraryweb.org, and our Facebook page at facebook.com/SeymourLibraryBrockportClarksonSweden.

Please note that if you currently have library items checked out, no fines will accumulate during the closing period, so please hold on to the items for now.

The Seymour Library looks forward to the day when our doors will re-open to the public.  Until then, we hope you will join us online

Mike Boedicker, Seymour Library Director
