Monroe County 4-H offering 10-minute gardening tutorials

Original videos aimed at teaching youth to grow

The Monroe County 4-H Team will be sharing a series of brief videos for youth and families, highlighting tips and small garden projects to do at home. Recently, 4-H Educator Jessica Reid demonstrated how to sow seeds in homemade toilet paper roll pots in a tutorial found on the Cornell Cooperative Extension YouTube channel.

Additional videos will be premiering on the Monroe County 4-H Youth Development Facebook page over the next few weeks. Topics will include Taking Care of Seedlings, Potting up Seedlings, and Companion Planting. These videos will feature research-based information to get a garden off to a great start.
