Hilton Baptist Church, in conjunction with the Monroe County Office of Traffic Safety, hosted a Bike Rodeo on July 15 where attendees learned bike safety skills. The 35 children, wearing masks and staying socially distant, were divided in to two 45-minute sessions. Children participated in helmet checks, bike checks, a skills course, a bike wash, and a chalk walk activity. The skills included braking, figure 8, hand signals, and bike control. The session ended with popsicles to help beat the heat.
