We would like to thank the community for the successful “Churchville Riga Give Back Day.” Our chicken barbecue sold out at 1,248 chicken dinners. We donated 146 dinners to the frontline workers at Unity Hospital on August 22. The rest of the profits have been divided equally between Churchville Lions Club and Churchville Fire Department to be used throughout the upcoming year. Both organizations are having no major fundraisers this year due to the pandemic. We are very grateful and cannot say “thank you” enough.
We would also like to say “thank you” to the Town of Riga, which sponsored the fireworks display at the fairgrounds. It was a nice way to cap off the day and was well attended by the community.
