New Parks Maintenance Building opens in Greece

On December 23, a ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the grand opening of the new Parks Maintenance Building on the Greece Town Campus.
With over 8,200 square feet of indoor space, this facility provides proper storage for mowers, utility vehicles, hand tools, safety equipment, and weather-sensitive supplies, protecting both the Town’s investment and its employees. The building also includes a vehicle and equipment wash station, workshop space for minor repairs and construction, and a dedicated break room for staff—features that improve workflow, safety, and day-to-day operations. In addition, there’s more than 20,000 square feet of outdoor yard storage for fleet vehicles and materials, such as playground surfacing and stone, helping keep equipment organized and ready when needed.
“The Greece Parks Division is responsible for an incredible amount of work across the town—maintaining more than 500 acres of parkland, 45 miles of trails, numerous facilities, athletic fields, playgrounds, and open spaces that families use year-round,” said Supervisor Bill Reilich. “To keep all of that safe, functional, and welcoming takes dedicated staff and the right infrastructure behind them. This new Parks Operations Center is about giving our Parks team the tools and space they need to do their jobs efficiently and safely.”
