David Beers has been appointed as the new director of security for the Spencerport Central School District. He began in the position on March 9.
Mr. Beers has more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement and security operations in the private sector, including work with the Rochester Police and Mt. Morris Police Departments, Southern Tier Security Services, and Goodwill of the Finger Lakes. In addition, Mr. Beers has experience working in school settings and has utilized his extensive knowledge and training to advance security efforts in each of his roles throughout his career.
Superintendent Ty Zinkiewich said, “We are committed to providing a secure and welcoming environment in our schools, and Mr. Beers’ proven experience in safety and law enforcement will ensure we continue to build upon our efforts. Please be sure to welcome Mr. Beers to our district and community.”
