Health on the Horizon: Global Health and Wellness Event

TOPS Club, Inc. (Take Off Pounds SensiblySM), the nonprofit weight-loss support organization, is hosting “Health on the Horizon,” a bi-annual global health and wellness event August 13-15, 2026, in Niagara Falls, NY.
The Niagara Falls Convention Center, 101 Old Falls Street, will welcome members and non-members of TOPS who care about living well—from curious learners to health professionals, including adults interested in weight loss and healthier living, plus community wellness leaders. Topics to be addressed during the event will include nutrition, physical activity, mental health, preventive care, and community wellness.
“Over three days, attendees will hear from educational speakers, experience interactive breakout sessions, and participate in conversations that spark new ideas,” said Katelyn Peters, TOPS Club Executive Director. “Attendees will receive practical tools to bring back to their everyday life, along with fresh perspectives to share in their community or work life. Whether you’re a TOPS member, a health professional, or simply someone curious about wellness, you’ll find a welcoming space to listen, share, and grow.”
Featured keynote speakers include:
- Holly Hoffman, the last woman standing on Season 21 of the reality show “Survivor Nicaragua,” is a motivational speaker and author who will highlight that within individuals is an ability to focus thoughts, emotions, and energy to succeed through the knowledge, tools, and discipline to do so.
- Jillian Lama, a former binge eater turned trauma-certified life coach, who bridges the gap between metabolic health and psychological healing. Host of the Hungry for Love podcast, which addresses the missing piece of weight loss – nervous system regulation. Lama specializes in helping clients move from a state of survival to a life of true self-belief, food freedom, and lasting peace with their bodies.
- Ian Patton, the Director of Advocacy and Public Engagement at Obesity Canada, combines his academic expertise and lived experience to drive change in obesity care. He holds a Ph.D. in Kinesiology and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship, with research focused on BMI, obesity, and childhood physical activity. As a bariatric surgery patient and national advocate, Patton works to eliminate weight bias and improve access to care for individuals living with obesity.
The event will include a banquet dinner on Thursday, August 13, at 6 p.m., featuring a plated dinner, silent auction, and live entertainment. The cost is $150, and registration is available at http://bit.ly/4shI3wZ.
