Celebrate AMERICA! Concert May 17

The Robert Dean Chorale invites the community to “Celebrate AMERICA!” with a free concert on Sunday, May 17, at 3 p.m. in the Cosgrove Middle School Performing Arts Center, 2749 Spencerport Road, Spencerport. The venue is handicapped accessible.
As the title indicates, the program will be filled with patriotic music, both vocal and instrumental. Ogden Town Supervisor Mike Zale will emcee the event, which will include the Ferris Goodridge American Legion Color Guard, and end with the playing of Taps by trumpeter Steven Kindred. A reception will follow.
In addition to the Robert Dean Chorale, other performers include the Melody Masters Big Band, the Spencerport High School Concert Chorus and the Treble Chorus, the Terry Taylor Troubadours, and the Cosgrove Middle School Drumline. All will be performing a variety of patriotic songs to celebrate our country’s 250th birthday.
The Robert Dean Chorale is a 40-person, non-auditioned chorus directed by Lindsay Shallmo. For information, visit robertdeanchorale.org.
